Cuddling with Ferocity
My girl is becoming a tiny cuddle monster.
She nuzzles her head into my shoulder when I lift her from the crib in the morning, she curls up next to me in bed as we watch her morning shows, and she toddles over and hugs my knees at night when I get home. (Well, on the nights that she’s not in the middle of dinner, anyway.)
I am the lucky father of one seriously affectionate little girl.
Yes, it is as awesome as you’d think. And yes, I do take the time to pause and really enjoy these moments. Because I’m well aware that someday soon she’ll be all about her own stuff, her own friends, her own life. And hugging Dad will become a “have to” rather than a “need to.”
But for now?
See you Monday.
