So it’s been relatively quiet the past few days. Well, for me anyway.
Jen has been grinding through her in-service Hell Week (all while dealing with some particularly troublesome students), so she’s had her hands full with work. I have a lot going on at the office as well, but have most of it well in hand. *knocks on wood*
Daphne has also been well-behaved, which has been awesome. She had been sleeping through the night for over a week, until 1 am last night when she refused to go back down until she’d pounded a 4 oz. bottle.
Sigh…baby steps I guess.
“What about my steps?”
Finally, I’m meeting with a financial consultant this afternoon to start Daphne’s 529 plan for college. According to this random online calculator, I’ve got to figure out a way to put aside nearly $500 a month to cover her tuition 17 years from now.
And that’s if she went to school in-state. (Using UT as a benchmark.)
If she decided to go, I don’t know, somewhere like Brown or Sewanee? Yeah, I’d have to find a way to save a smooth $1,200 – $1,500 a month in order to afford her tuition.
Don’t ask me how I’d pull that one off…
