So the Overwatch beta shut down yesterday. (Figures, just as I upgrade my home network to 1 gig-per-second download speeds…)

Now I’ve no idea what the hell I’m going to do with my evenings once Daphne has gone to bed.

I tried several different games last night (Diablo, TF2, Fallout, DOTA, Rocket League), and nothing was nearly as fun.

*sigh*

Sadly, it’ll be the end of January before the beta comes back up.

I guess I could start playing the “go to bed earlier” game.  That way I’ll be better equipped to handle the tiny whirling dervish that I share a bed with every morning…

“Bwah, bwah, bwah, bwah…”

That might be a better idea, and one that Jib is way ahead of me on.

You see, we’ve been watching the Yule Log channel at night and decompressing to soothing, classical renditions of Christmas carols, mixed with the crackling of a fire, rendered in glorious 1080p.  (All while our air conditioner hums in the background, since it’s been in the 80’s all week.)  And the soporific effect it has on Jib is seriously comical.  He can only handle 3 or 4 minutes of the Yule Log channel before he’s comatose and snoring next to me on the couch.

Like puppy Xanax.
